Tailoring

A Tailoring Unit has also been established in AROUSE for training both girls and women to empower them so that they can earn a livelihood and support their families.

The students are mainly taught to make dress material like frocks, skirts, tops, salwar suits, blouse, kurta-pyjamas, nighties, shirts, trousers.

Training is also given in embroidery work, different kinds of stitches are taught which is done in sarees, table-cloth, cushion covers, sofa covers, bed-sheets etc.

At present 15 students are undergoing training in the department. Most of the students start their own work from home or are employed at local tailoring.
