Founded by Late Fr. Peter Paul Van Nuffel, Animation Rural Outreach Service Society (AROUSE) is a registered non-profit organization based in Gumla, Jharkhand. Registered under society registration act 1860, AROUSE works primarily among tribal and marginalized rural communities across Jharkhand, focusing on sustainable development, social empowerment, livelihood enhancement, and cultural preservation. The organization believes that true development occurs when communities actively participate in shaping their own future.

Through a rights-based and participatory approach, AROUSE supports communities in strengthening agriculture, protecting natural resources, promoting women’s leadership, preserving indigenous culture, education and improving socio-economic well-being.
