Arouse

Over the years, AROUSE has evolved into a trusted grassroots organization working closely with village communities, government departments, civil society organizations, and development partners. The organization has successfully implemented initiatives in agriculture, livelihoods, women empowerment, forest rights, environmental conservation, and tribal cultural promotion.

Started in 1978 with 30 Adult Literacy Centers. The work of alphabetization, organization and capacity building of villagers was conducted. Through evening village centers, educational institutions and “Each One Teach One” approach -120311 adults (57351 males & 62960 females) have been made literate.
Core Projects Implemented: National Literacy Mission (NLM), Balwadi, Micro Projects, Watershed, Legal Aid Bureau, People's Action for Awareness and Self Help (PALASH), Preservation and Extension of Aboriginal Cultural Heritage (PEACH), Sericulture, EDP, Millennium Development Goals (MDG'15), Intensified Community Metamorphic Programme (INCOME), TRYSEM, Integrated Nutrition & Health Programme (INHP - III) and Value Chain Development (VCD) prog.
